With the limited quantities of ebony, it would be very difficult to obtain that wood. If genetics engineers would treat the ebony trees sufficiently to cause them to grow 120 times the normal growth rate, large quantities of trees would be available. In 1 year, the trees would grow 120 years equivalent growth. At that rate, the trees would be very large.
